Dementia Golf Day @ Cobtree Manor

Dementia is a broad category of brain diseases that cause a long term and gradual decrease in the ability to think and remember that is great enough to affect a person’s daily functioning.

The most common type of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease which takes up 50-70% of cases.

There is no cure for dementia, however for those with dementia and their carers there are many measures that can improve their lives, and at Cobtree we are looking to do just that.

Cobtree Manor Park Golf Course is working towards being a ‘dementia friendly’ venue and within we have dementia champions to help assist.

On Tuesday 16th May we would like to invite all those that are living with dementia and their carers to participate in some golfing activity. This is a great opportunity for those with dementia to participate in a new hobby and/or socialise with other people with dementia.

On the day we have 9 holes available for those with previous golfing experience or for those totally new to golf we will be running putting and chipping lessons.

Tuesday 16th May 2017

The cost per person is a reduced rate of just £15.00.

  • 11.30am Arrival for Coffee

  • 12.00pm Putting & Chipping
